Release Date

Rockstar Games has confirmed a November 19, 2026 release date for GTA VI. The game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a PC release expected to follow later.

Setting

GTA VI is set in the state of Leonida, a fictional version of Florida. The primary city is Vice City, Rockstar's take on Miami — returning for the first time since 2006's Vice City Stories.

Protagonists

The game features two playable protagonists:

Lucia Caminos — The first female protagonist in a mainline GTA game. She starts the game recently released from Leonida Penitentiary, wearing an electronic ankle monitor.

Jason Duval — An ex-military man who drifted into small-time crime in the Leonida Keys.

Their story is inspired by the real-life criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde.

Trailers

Two official trailers have been released:

Trailer 1 (December 2023) — Introduced Vice City, Lucia, and the overall tone

Trailer 2 (2025) — Showed more gameplay, introduced Jason's "just fixing some leaks" line, and featured Lucia with an auto grenade launcher

Weapons

Over 30 weapons have been identified from trailers and leaked footage, including pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, SMGs, heavy weapons, and melee options. Exact stats are not yet known.
