GTA 6 Map Guide: Every Region of Leonida Explained

A full breakdown of the GTA 6 map — the state of Leonida, a modern Vice City, the Keys, the swamps of Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and more.

Grand Theft Auto VI is set in the fictional US state of Leonida, a love letter to modern-day Florida, with a reimagined Vice City at its heart. Rockstar has confirmed it is its largest and most detailed open world to date. Here is what we know about every region.

Vice City

The neon-soaked metropolis returns in present-day HD for the first time since 2002. Expect a denser, more vertical city than GTA V's Los Santos, packed with beaches, nightlife, and reactive crowds.

Leonida Keys

A chain of islands modelled on the Florida Keys — bridges, marinas, and smuggling routes. Boats and seaplanes look set to matter here more than in any past GTA.

Grassrivers

Wetlands and swampland inspired by the Everglades: airboats, gators, and dense vegetation that hide secrets and side activity.

Port Gellhorn

A working industrial port town away from the glamour — cargo, docks, and a grittier side of Leonida.

Ambrosia & the backcountry

Smaller settlements and rural trails add variety beyond the city, from Mount Kalaga's hiking routes to quiet country roads.
