GTA 6 Pre-Orders Are Live: Price, Editions and Everything You Get
It finally happened — Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders went live on June 25, 2026. Here is the confirmed pricing, both editions, the platforms and the pre-order bonus, straight from Rockstar.
Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026
After months of speculation, Rockstar Games opened Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders at midnight local time on Thursday, June 25, 2026. They are available through the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store, and major global retailers.
This is the moment the whole marketing cycle had been building toward — and unlike the false start around a rumoured Best Buy date in May, this one is official.
Confirmed pricing
Rockstar confirmed the prices when pre-orders went live:
That puts the base game at the $79.99 tier that has become the new ceiling for AAA console releases, with the Ultimate Edition sitting $20 above it.
Only two editions — no physical Collector's Edition
In a break from GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar released just two editions: Standard and Ultimate. There is:
There is a "physical" version at retail, but it ships as a download code in a box rather than a disc.
Platforms
GTA VI launches on:
No PC version is part of the launch — see our dedicated PC explainer for why that is expected to come later.
The pre-order bonus
Everyone who pre-orders either edition gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, a retro-themed bundle, as long as the pre-order is placed before November 20, 2026. We break down everything inside it in a separate guide.
Bottom line: the date is real, the price is confirmed, and the countdown to November 19 is officially on. Pick your platform, decide digital vs. code-in-box, and pre-order through an official storefront only.
